Humminbird MatrixThe Humminbird Matrix series is a number of devices developed by the Humminbird Electronics brand. It features a complete Fishing System that includes both GPS track plotting capabilities as well as sonar scanning capabilities. It is definitely one of the best overall Humminbird products available for fishermen, whether you are a hobbyist, an amateur, or a professional sports fisherman.

The Humminbird Matrix comes in handy whenever you need one device to perform a variety of functions for you. It is much more convenient than having to purchase several pieces of interconnecting equipment, and is much more compact and portable. The Humminbird Matrix series is suited for a variety of situations and performs equally well in salt water and fresh water conditions.

Depending on the unit that you are purchasing, you can scan up to a depth of 1500 ft deep. Cheaper units in the Humminbird Matrix series can only scan up to 800 ft in depth. To know what kind of Humminbird Matrix unit you should purchase, you should first take into account where you would primarily be fishing. Lakes and rivers are generally shallower in comparison to seas and oceans, so a Humminbird Matrix unit that can bring back information at 800 ft depth would be sufficient for these types of water bodies.
